About this opportunity
The SPARK (Shifting Power through Action and Reciprocal Knowledge Exchange) grant program, launched by the WHO/IBP Network, aims to empower communities in sexual reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and rights (SRMNCAH) work. It provides direct investment to youth-led, women-led, and indigenous-led community-based organizations that are innovating in how WHO guidelines and tools are disseminated, adapted, and applied locally. The program seeks proposals from organizations that are applying WHO guidelines in innovative ways, integrating SRMNCAH into broader sectors like maternal health, climate, workforce/livelihoods, education, and faith-based initiatives, and actively shifting power to involve community members in design, decision-making, and evaluation. Eligible organizations must have been operating for at least two years and possess prior experience using at least one WHO guideline, tool, or product. Priority is given to organizations new to WHO/IBP Network funding and those demonstrating strong community accountability and leadership. Grantees will receive flexible funding of up to USD $20,000, technical support from the WHO/IBP Network, access to relevant SRMNCAH guidelines and tools, connection to IBP's global Communities of Practice for peer exchange, and opportunities to showcase their work to a global audience. The program intends to fund 5-10 grants, with a goal to fund at least one organization per WHO region.
