About this opportunity
BridgeAI Deployment Catalyst: AI for Operational Systems is an Innovate UK competition investing up to £5 million in Phase 1 to accelerate the deployment of advanced UK Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions. The programme aims to support high-potential UK AI micro, small, or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to move beyond pilots into trusted, real-world deployment across operational workflows, processes, software, equipment, or infrastructure. Projects must be led by a UK-registered SME collaborating in a consortium of two to three organisations, including at least one UK-registered deployer organisation providing access to operational environments, data, workflows, and systems. Eligible solutions must have a functioning minimum viable product (TRL 5 or 6) that addresses significant deployment challenges. Funded consortia will develop evidence-based deployment use cases, assess deployer and supplier readiness, secure letters of support, and demonstrate their solution in a representative operational environment. Successful projects from Phase 1 may be invited to apply for Phase 2 (£1 million indicative) and Phase 3 (£2 million indicative).
How to apply
Applications must be submitted online through the Innovate UK Innovation Funding Service portal prior to the deadline, forming a collaborative consortium with an eligible UK-registered deployer organisation.
