About this opportunity

The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) is a challenge-based fund established under Project Ireland 2040 and the National Development Plan, managed by the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment and administered by Enterprise Ireland. DTIF Call 8 offers a €40 million funding budget to support collaborative projects focused on 'industrial research' and/or 'experimental development'. The fund is suitable for consortia comprising combinations of SMEs, multinational corporations (MNCs), and Research Performing Organisations (RPOs). Irish Semi-State organisations and public bodies are also eligible to participate as non-funded partners, provided the consortium includes at least three other eligible partners. Eligible projects must demonstrate the potential to alter markets, alter the way businesses operate, create new products, or foster the emergence of new business models. Proposals are evaluated across four criteria: strength of the disruptive technology dimension, excellence of the overall proposal and approach, economic impact and sustainability, and quality and efficiency of the collaboration.

How to apply

Complete the mandatory pre-eligibility check, then submit the consortium application through the online submission portal (ei.submit.com) before 3 February 2027, 15:00 Irish time. Guide for Applicants and templates are on the DTIF call page.
