About this opportunity
Ekintzaile 2026 is a grant programme of the SPRI Group, the business development agency of the Basque Government, for entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial projects in the Basque Country. Line 1 (entrepreneurship) is open to individuals registered in the Basque Autonomous Community and to legal entities formed or starting activity after 1 January 2024 with at least one activity centre there, covering the idea-maturation and start-up phases. Line 2 (intrapreneurship) is for projects from within Basque companies that diversify the company's current activity. The maximum aid is €30,000 per beneficiary in both lines, non-repayable: up to 100% of eligible costs in Line 1, and up to 70% in Line 2, rising to 100% if a new company is incorporated within the project period. Projects must be innovative or technology-based, be developed in the Basque Country and be validated by a Business Innovation Center (BIC). The 2026 budget is €3,500,000 and applications are handled first-complete, first-served until the call closes on 11 December 2026.
How to apply
Submit the application electronically through SPRI's Ekintzaile programme page, signed with a recognised electronic certificate. SPRI assigns each application to a BIC, which validates the project and approves the eligible expenses. If documents are missing you have 10 business days to correct them.
