About this opportunity
The Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF) from Enterprise Ireland, Ireland's state enterprise agency, invests in very early-stage startups that have stress-tested their strategy, built a minimum viable product (ideally with customer validation) and have a clear value proposition. It offers €50,000 or €100,000 (paid as two tranches of €50,000) through a convertible loan note, so there is no immediate equity dilution.
Alongside the investment, companies get a dedicated Enterprise Ireland Development Advisor, 10 mentoring sessions from an expert panel, and access to the Enterprise Ireland Market Research Centre. It targets companies in manufacturing and internationally traded services. Individuals can apply if they are in the process of incorporating a company in Ireland. Companies that previously received €50k from the Competitive Start Fund or PSSF can apply for a maximum of €50k.
How to apply
Complete the online application on the Enterprise Ireland platform and submit a video pitch. Free preparation workshops are run by the Irish Business Innovation Centres (BICs). The fund is continuously open.
