Finland-China (MOST) Joint Innovation Call 2026

The Finland-China (MOST) Joint Innovation Call 2026 is a bilateral funding call organized by Business Finland and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST). The call aims to support innovation and research collaboration, as well as assist Finnish companies in accessing the Chinese market and securing RDI and commercial partners. The call focuses on key thematic areas including climate change, circular economy, sustainable development, health, and other mutually agreed fields. Eligibility requires collaborative projects involving at least one Finnish entity (company or research organization) and at least one Chinese counterpart. Business Finland funds the Finnish participants according to standard national funding criteria, including Co-innovation project terms for consortia involving research organizations, while Chinese partners are funded through Chinese governmental bodies. Projects must be approved by both Finnish and Chinese authorities to receive grant funding.

Applications must be submitted through the standard Business Finland online funding e-service. Applicants must include a joint project plan and a consortium agreement prepared with the Chinese partner(s), both addressing intellectual property rights (IPR).
