About this opportunity
The Innovatiekrediet (Innovation Credit) is a Dutch government loan, administered by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), for companies developing risky but promising innovations into a working product, process or service. It distinguishes between technical development projects and clinical projects (for medicines and medical devices). The credit is repaid only if the innovation succeeds commercially, which lowers the risk for founders; investors often see an approved Innovatiekrediet as a quality signal.
Applications are assessed critically against four core criteria, and you can only apply for one development trajectory. The amount you can receive depends on project costs and on whether you collaborate with other parties.
How to apply
Apply online through RVO's portal (eHerkenning level 2+ with RVO authorisation required). Use RVO's Quick Scan and application guide, or join an online Q&A session, before submitting. Applications are accepted all year.
Startup Map Hub is not affiliated with Innovatiekrediet (Innovation Credit) – RVO and does not fund startups. We put each listing together from the funder's own published information. Deadlines and criteria can change, so confirm them on the official website before you apply.
