R42 Games Accelerator

The R42 Games Accelerator is a specialized nine-month acceleration program located in Leipzig, Germany, designed to support startups in the gaming and media sector. The initiative accepts game developers creating indie titles, serious games, and gamified applications across B2B and B2C segments. Full participation costs are covered by the City of Leipzig's economic development agency (Wirtschaftsförderung der Stadt Leipzig), meaning founders pay no participation fees. Participating teams benefit from tailored workshops, deep dive sessions, game jams, meetups, dedicated coaches, industry mentors, and access to a dedicated seven-story building in central Leipzig featuring coworking spaces, studios, gaming areas, and event locations. In addition, participating startups located in Saxony have the opportunity to secure up to €30,000 in startup seed funding (Anlaufförderung) from SAB covering 90% of personnel and material expenses. Startups must be formally incorporated or have registered a business (Gewerbe) to qualify.

Complete the online application form on the website, submit your one-sentence pitch and uniqueness statement, and upload a current pitch deck, a one-year liquidity projection, and an application video. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a personal meeting before final jury selection.
