About this opportunity

The Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) is run by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). SMEDAN's page says it is designed for nano businesses at local government (LGA) level and describes it as support for micro enterprises. The grant is a fixed ₦50,000, it is not a loan, and it is given on the condition that the business employs one person, to encourage job creation.

Recipients may be asked to submit periodic reports or to take part in project evaluations and monitoring. SMEDAN's scheme page has a Register Interest form that asks for your name, email, phone number, business name, CAC number, industry and years in business. The page does not give a deadline or say whether registration is open right now, so check smedan.gov.ng before relying on any date you see elsewhere.

Apply only through SMEDAN's own website. Treat any site that asks you to pay a fee to receive a grant as a scam.

Open to small businesses, not only startups.

How to apply

Use the Register Interest form on the Conditional Grant Scheme page at smedan.gov.ng (name, email, phone, business name, CAC number, industry, years in business). SMEDAN's page does not state an opening or closing date.

Startup Map Hub is not affiliated with SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) and does not fund startups. We put each listing together from the funder's own published information. Deadlines and criteria can change, so confirm them on the official website before you apply.
