How to apply
Applications for the Tech Journalism Fund are reviewed on a rolling basis, with decisions made within 30 days.
Eligible applicants are US-based journalists — freelancers, staff writers, editors, or teams — working on stories about how technology and society intersect, especially topics like AI regulation, tech industry accountability, AI’s impact on youth, or tech and labor.
You can request $5,000 – $25,000 for travel, research, reporting time, or multimedia support. Submit your proposal through the Omidyar Network’s Tech Journalism Fund application form, outlining your story idea, budget, and timeline.
Startup Map Hub is not affiliated with Tech Journalism Fund and does not fund startups. We put each listing together from the funder's own published information. Deadlines and criteria can change, so confirm them on the official website before you apply.
