About this opportunity
Women TechEU is an EU-funded scheme under the European Innovation Council (EIC) for early-stage deep tech startups led by women. The 2026–2028 edition has €12 million to back around 160 startups. Each selected company receives a €75,000 non-dilutive grant, an individual business development programme (mentoring, training and coaching), and introductions to investors, corporates and an international network. 40% of each round's budget is reserved for applicants from EU 'widening' countries.
Eligibility: early-stage deep tech startups from EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, founded or co-founded by women who hold top leadership roles (CEO, CTO or equivalent). Women must hold at least 25% of the company's shares. All deep tech fields are welcome; for AI-based innovations the stage of development of the AI determines eligibility.
How to apply
Two stages: (1) Eligibility Strand — rolling, with weekly cut-offs every Tuesday at 17:00 Brussels time until 13 July 2027; (2) once you pass, submit the Full Proposal to one of the submission deadlines (14 Jan 2027, 1 Apr 2027, 8 Jul 2027). Apply via womentecheurope.eu.
